I couldn't agree more. I'm sure Davis and that last drive will, in later years, be seen as the hallmark of this game, but the D--and especially the secondary--had an outstanding game today. They dragged the Saints down to our level and we whooped 'em.

That's a great point. The 3rd quarter felt like the tipping point of the game, but they caught their second wind and held it together, for the most part, throughout the remainder of the game.

Defense played great for 55 minutes, but those last 5 were just not typical.
But for once the SF offense bailed out the SF defense.
Let's see if they can get it done next week against GB or NYG.

Agreed. I'm sure he's going to catch seven kinds of hell this week, but outside of two breakdowns he played on another level today.

The D was just gassed at the end. Thankfully there was enough time left for Alex to lead us to victory.
