Watching NO/DET highlights and DET really had a bad game in tackling

I'm sure he's an absolute dream compared to what you guys have been dealing with during the lean years, but he's really not a great QB in any way. He has a career passer rating of under 80, averages less than 180 yards passing per game, and gets sacked constantly. He ranks just behind Matt Moore in yards per attempt. That's not good. He's made huge stride this year, especially in completion percentage, and with an offseason to work with Harbaugh I have no doubt he could continue to develop. I'm not sure he's really there yet, though.

He has five come from behind victories because the 9ers trailed in the fourth quarter of half of their games this season. I'm not sure that's a stat that will play in the 9ers favor this weekend.

LSU is a very young team. They are loaded with soph and jr that got significant playing time. I actually thought they were 1 year away from being a dominate team. Turns out that only one team got the best of them this year. They should be better next year. Good thing for the saints is that les miles is not putting the offensive game plan together and J jefferson will not be playing QB sat. Early prediction for lsu is hillard will lead the country in rushing and will be a heisman candidate. Dude is a beast!

He is arguably the best play caller in the game so that may have something to do with a somewhat sluggish offense during the middle part if the year. Also, krutz retiring and their right tackle and backup going down prob also contributed. DLP has settled into the center spot and strife is back healthy. IMO, SF will have to score 30+ to win this game and from what I've read and seen that will be a difficult task for them.

Payton is a magnificent playcaller, truly is. It's the ego like I said. When Brees does too much, which doesn't happen that often, he makes mistakes more so than our own Alex Smith. Go figure, right?

All I'm saying is that our history this year at home demonstrated a propensity for Niner Ball: Run the ball to kill the clock and keep the other QB cold, play physical punishing focused D makin' tackles at first contact and use ST to manipulate field position.

I agree about 30, but it will be from two offensive TDs, 3 FGs and one TD from either ST or the D. And, IMO, we will hold Brees to a season low 20.

But that's the homer in me...lol.

if you take out his rooie year his career passer rating stays in mid 80s

i agree he doesnt put up the yards but thats mainly cause sometimes in home games we are up so much we just stop passing the ball all together

in games where we had to pass to stay in it such as eagles (298 yards) giants - where gore was injures(270 yards) he does well

also keep in mind we lead the league in dropped passes lot of them are pretty deep throws as well which would easily pad 30-40 yards to his stats

also keep in mind that we are running a complicated offense with no offseason they are many reports saying how hard it was in fact a article where vernon said it was so much ifo at once he felt like quitting- and hes only the TE imagine the QB position

you may laugh at me now but in next 2 years alex will be considered a top 5-7 qb
