Just cause he had 2 picks doesn't make him a 'solid' CB like people say, lol.. He should be the last person to be covering an opposing team's #1 receiver. Is undersized, and gets beat a LOT

Our entire Secondary gets beat constantly because they play too soft. I wouldn't point the finger at one individual player.

LOT ? Maybe you should watch the Green Bay, Patriots, Lions, Falcon CB's play. They make T. Brown look like D. Revis

I realize this in niner talk and overreacting is normal but my goodness its not like they marched down field on us twice.

That PI call was par for the course. 49ers have been majorly screwed over by the refs for at least one call every game. All season long, the Brooks offsides against the Cowboys, the phantom chop block against the Ravens, the phantom chop block against the Cardinals...etc

im not meaning to troll or anything, but that PI call on Brown was legit.. he didnt get his head around and he was clearly beat on the play.. i was pissed off at first screaming "BS" when watching, but they made the right call as much as i hate to admit...

Our defense will be fine. Bring on the Saints - Lions team is crap, they will get their asses whooped by the Brees. Can't wait to put some hurt on the Saints!

No it wasn't, Lloyd was pushing off on Brown as well. At best, that's a no-call. Both were at fault, so in that case you let them play.

I'm not, but Brown stood out today despite 2 easy picks. Whitner is another guy who gets beat, is undersized, and hasnt been able to cover safety's for s**t this season
I do think that the 49ers should add some more depth to the secondary via the draft. I'd like to see one more CB picked between rounds 3-5 and a safety picked in the 1st or 2nd round. Its really the biggest weakness of the defense right now but nothing that can't be fixed.

Many starters on D were out. T. Brown is a solid CB. Lock this up.

ALL recievers that had a big game on us were checked primarily by Brown

Not very many big games against us all year. How many do u count? Can u say Clements and Spencer did better last year? I think not

B.Lloyd 100 1TD
L. Fitz 149 1TD
C Johnson 113 ok he was checked by Rodgers
D. Jackson 171 ok that was a group effort (gg)
M. Austin 143 3TD

All in all not bad but he is the weakest link

Yes, it was..... Lloyd wouldnt have been trying to get Brown off of him if Brown wasnt interfering with him.. Brown didnt get his head around, Lloyd was trying to get back to it, and PI was called. that wasnt even close to some of the bad calls that have been against us before.

Giants game, got any more? It's easy to nitpick a game here and there. ANyways, I respect your opinion and I'm not saying Brown is a world beater but I agree with alot of posters that he is 'solid' Yes, he's the weakest link of our top 3 CB's, but our CB's have been pretty good I think. I actually think Whitner is our weakest link in the pass defense

You're not blaming these handful of games all on Brown, right? Austin toasted Brock and M. Williams mostly. Fitz? He did most of it against Rogers and the safeties.

I think Whitner is our weakest link with Brown coming in 2nd.

To me he's a solid #2, or Nickel corner. He gets beat by team's #1 receivers on deep throws at least 60-70% of the time. The Giants game isnt nit-picking really, I was just using an easy example. But, he has played better than I thought he would. Guess the coaching staff saw something in him they didnt in spencer.

Would like to see Goldson move to SS and then the 49ers draft a guy in the first or 2nd round to start at FS.
