possibliy, but i wouldn't fault him for all those drops. he did drop the bomb on johnson though, but u can't hit them all. we will draft another WR sometime next year and we will see what he does with him
No, Sullivan before him was considered one of the best WR coaches in the league and our receivers still sucked. Talent is the problem, plain and simple
The Eagles thought enough of him to put Ronald on the PS. Not all bad...yet.

Yeah that is this!

Much has been made about our wr's, but here is a food for thought, most of our coaches have done their jobs. Do you think Morton might be the problem? He jumped up and down the table for his man at USC-Ronald Johnson, who stunk it up, Baalke and JH let him have the choice, in the mean time it was now said JH was hoping to get Seattles Baldwin in the draft or thru FA. However since we got RJ already that was it.

If Harbaugh really wanted Baldwin over RoJo, he would have taken Baldwin over RoJo.

there have been drops and some breakdowns in fundamentals (i remember walker dropping a potential td, i think i t was vs lions, when he had his hands turned wrong way) but sometimes those should go on the players---im sure coaches set the table, but it is up to players to execute and follow their training

All one needs to do is look at the coaching, with more less the same players, the new staff has turned it around. The biggest additions have been Aldon and Rodgers with little bit of Hunter and Culliver ( you might add Bowman.

VD had his best year before the new staffs arrival. Although we have a separate TE coach the WR coach still works with the TE on pass catching etc iin most situations, although I am not sure about the niners setup.

While I agree coaches coach and players gotta make plays and execute them, sometime there are techniques and basic drills and fundamentals that certain coaches teach that ar either effective or not. Look at Rodgers and Dashon, hands of stone before and now they are having there best years in interceptions. Unfortunately we can only judge the results and can't judge the drills used to train and implement better hands.

One thing to judge a player is to see if they were a two sport all star, certain positions seem to excel when they played a certain position in another sport.
In the end it all falls on Balke and Harbaugh and thet have done a great job. Look how many players we had that hadnt shown much of anything now they are performing great. It is coaching.
It's not Morton's fault, we just have mediocre role-receivers. -You want a leading WR, go to the draft and get lucky...

I really feel like this team is cursed. So many busts at WR, both FA and draft.

At least Crabtree is looking like a legit starter and Williams has shown promise.

We'll see what the scrubs can manage tomorrow.
^^ thats cause we always get washed up WR just like a year away from retirememtn
Baldwin made it clear in his statements that he chose a team that gave him the best chance to start. I don't see any reason to blame Morton or other coaches for failing to get him. Maybe our WR's looked pretty good to him at the beginning of the season prior to injuries.
He has done a good job of developing Kyle Williams and getting Crabtree to play good, consistent football. That being said, I think Bobby Engram (assistant WR's coach/offensive assistant) has helped Crabtree and Kyle Williams from what I have heard. Hopefully Kyle Williams can carve out a career similar to Bobby Engram's (both similar size/playing style). Do not be surprised if we lose Engram as another team may hire him as a WR's coach in the off-season.
Crabtree has come on this year, nlike previous years. Braylon was a bust signing, cant catch anything. Morgan got hurt(Not Morton's fault), Williams has come on, I say he has his job secured.
