The most important lesson from Baltimore

Most important lesson. Niners exposed. They will be one of the remaining 4 playoff teams in the NFC vying for a championship. Dallas, no, gb, niners. They will lose to one of those teams. Why you say? Because they have worthy plaoyoff tested quarterbacks. I don't want to hear about the dilfer, ravens comparison. Back then there were no great qbs that could challenge an offense. In these times there are. All you whiners make excuses for this team. We are a year away. Get a new qb then talk all you want.

no way, you're telling me that these are humans too?

what can you do man, this just how a majority of fans are. it's a week to week thing, doesn't matter how dominant we look one week if the next we don't...they are still human beings, somehow people forget that.

I wonder how much Anthony Davis ankle injury hurt him against the Ravens? Im not making excuses for him because he was awful but I wonder if his ankle was a factor

But that is an excuse, that is a reason. They are human being, bro. Put yourself through that kind of physical/emotional activity, and lets see how you function the next day. They were tired, even football players get tired, pretty crazy, huh? Especially 300+ lb men...come on, let's use some logic here people.

This is classic Niner Talk... lose one game out of the last nine, and everyone points out who & what "sucks".

There is no perfect team in the NFL, but the 49ers are still one of the better ones... hence the 9-2 record.

The game was a learning experience and they will get better from it... relax and get over yourselves.

I think if you take any NFL offensive line (especially from california), and have them go through what the 49ers did, vs the MOST physical defensive front (with or without Ray Lewis), and they will likely give up a lot of sacks. 9 sacks is eye opening, but there are logical reasons.

It takes alot more time and preperation for an offensive line to have a proper protection scheme ready for a good defense than vice versa, which really gave Baltimore an edge in the really short week. They brought alot of disguised blitzes the line just wasn't ready for, no shame in that really. If the 49ers win out, which I think they will, they will be 14-2. They haven't been 14-2 since 1992. There's only been 11 teams with a record that good or better since then. Championship teams the last 20 years have usually had worse records in the regular season, because it's unusual to have a team with a record that good!

You learn more from failures than you do from successes, and the coaching staff has done wonders with this team since the last time they lost. I trust they are going to pull off even more miracles now that they've lost again and can see exactly where they need to focus on to get this team on a roll going into the playoffs. Funny that it took a beating from an older brother for it to happen.

I am using logic here and to be honest, am over the game. The lost did us a favor by exposing our glaring weakness in our offense. I'll take solace that we can make corrections in that department.

I understand the "logical" reasons why we lost. But to give up 9 sacks? Again, I'm over this game and if anything, I hope the coaches learned of our shortcoming within our O-Line.

I thought Harbaugh spoke to this fact rather well. 3 sacks they had a better blitz call than our protection call. 3 sacks their guy just beat our guy (Hello Vernon Davis). 3 sacks Alex held the ball too long. That does not = the 49er OL still sucks. 2/3 of those sacks were not on the OL but rather coaches or the QB.

The lesson to me was that the 49ers played one of the very best teams in the league, the team with perhaps the best defense in the league, and the game went down to the wire.

Put the Ginn TD on the board and Brown's pick goes, both of which were ticky tacky calls, and the game result is reversed.

All of that tells me the 49ers are right there with the very best in the league.

The league is all about adjustments. Can the team adjust to this form of defensive onslaught if it happens again? You know teams will be looking at tape and try to replicate what the Ravens did Thursday.

One game is one game. It doesn't make or break a season. People shouldn't get overly hyped or discouraged by any single game in a 16-game season. For the team now, it is all about preparation for the playoff, and looking to deal with the defenses these teams might throw at them when the playoffs come around.

If I am Harbaugh, I am already collecting tape, and assigning coaches to break down the defenses of the remaining teams in contention for a NFC playoff spot. See what they run, and prepare to adjust to what they might do.

I agree. We beat DET and NYG while playing "messy". Unfortunately, BAL played cleaner than any team we have played. Otherwise, they don't beat us.

Superbowl teams are not mistake free. They can overcome their mistakes and stay in games, like did.

Not against other Superbowl teams.
