Like the slogan at the 49ers facility, "You either get better or you get worse, you never stay the same." which is true, and in the NFL they always say "You're only as good as your last game."

This team needs to prove themselves over again next week, and not go out with anger trying to avenge a loss, they will only lose focus.

I agree with this. And if we had Sing or No-win as a coach still then i think things could be bad. But we have a coach who actually knows how to...well coach. It would have been really easy to feel down and out after a loss to the cowboys and go to Cincy and lose to a great defense. But our coach kept our heads in the game and our guys didnt feel down and we won. Our players will have the right mind set

Honestly, The perfect loss....

I said before this game I have a strange feeling a loss would do us good. Seriously, like nearly ever team that wins the SB has a bad loss during the season and fans saying "this isn't a SB" team. It means absolutly nothing come playoffs weather we won or loss this game.

The way I see it, we got a FREE lesson, we learned that we're in trouble when we don't have time to prepare.... OK fine. luckily that wont happen again until next year (maybe). We learned our oline is going to be a target in the future and we've got to implement an answer to a heavy pass rush. We learned we can't get ahead of ourselves. OH, and a Recipe to beat the Steelers!!! Thanks Jonny Boy:)


There was a thread earlier that posed the question weather Jim gave the win to a desperate Baltimore team. While I don't agree with that at all. I think there may have been some "distraction" that resulted in a lack of enthusiasm. Jim Harbs sounded like he was rationalizing a loss before the game with his "Short stick" comments. I think he just wasn't excited about this one. BACK TO WORK

Worst thing in the world would be playing those black devils in the SB! I hope that NEVER happens. It would ruin the SB for me. I should start trying to warm up the the idea though.... don't wont my SB to be ruined.

No. The NFL figured out a way of beating the Niners. Make us go from west to east and only give us 2 days off. That's the formula folks.

We got screwed on the two biggest plays of the game Ginn touchdown (75 yard touchdown) and Tarrell Brown interception (70 yard penalty) and we were still in the game. The line played horrible, but the team is going to learn from this loss and make us stronger.

Also Ray Rice said our defense was the best that they have faced all season.

In years past we would have been thoroughly blown out, losing by 20 or more. We have made substantial progress and are still getting better.

I'm OK with it because we have excellent coaches who will find ways to fix any holes and we'll be ready for other teams who try to scheme us along the lines of what the Ravens did.

what I don't understand is, this has been an issue ALL year....I mean sure, when opposing teams kept the game close with their mistakes and we were able to convert 3rd downs when it count on the final drives....that's all fine and dandy.

but you would think that Harbs and company would have made this priority # during our bye week. I'm really curious to see how much they improve this week, even if its *just* the Rams.

Flacco was clutch in that 4th quarter...I think he converted every 3rd down he faced. And it wasn't like his players were wide open, he had be very accurate in pressure situations.

I daon't have the specific stats but it seemed they had excellent field position most of the game pinning us back with long puts. I may be wrong but it is one thing we do to other teams that really helps us.

Nine sacks are ridiculous. That's Tampa Bay/Seattle expansion year bad. If not worse. That is unacceptable. Losing is one thing, but that many sacks is something else.

only thing that comes out of this game is the haters who said we cant win with smith, will have their fun for a few days. them haters havent actually watched us play very much, so a stinker in our first prime time game only cements their opinions. reality is whether u back smith or not, nobody knows what we can or cannot do in the playoffs, simply cus we havent been there. i also refuse to use the refs as a reason the game went the way it did, come off looking like seahawk fans if we do that, we're better than that and lost cus we simply didnt play well enough.

yeah they played a very disciplined game...... no sacks allowed on their part and no turnovers drastically helped them with the field position game.

it just seemed very discouraging that we were fighting hard just to make first downs....like I remember us making a couple of hard catches, and then the camera zooming back and we were still not at mid field.

You win some, you lose. this year's Niners have won most, and lost few.

We are a team without a legit offseason and a rookie HC, and we are 9-2. We have vastly EXCEEDED all expectations.
