Could Dashon Goldson be our next Ronnie Lott?

Yes I know Lott is a legend but Goldson is an enforcer and I think WRs better start accounting for where this guy is on the field. He is extremely athletic on some of the plays he makes and hits hard. I love having this guy on D and I hope he doesn't get suspended this week because our D is not the same without him. Just wondering what you think? Too far fetched? I say pay the man!!!!

HOF? I doubt it. But physical force who is excellent in run support and solid in coverage? Absolutely.

Speaking of Goldson, Will he be available to play for us come Thursday? Cause he's one of the key players we gonna need out there for physical LEGAL hits just to shake up the receivers especially that torrey smith guy

No word yet that I've seen. I'd agree with others who have said suspension is unlikely given precedent set by Goodell.
I agree with you that he could be effective against Torrey Smith.
However, if he does play, I fully expect to watch him bounce impotently off of Boldin at least once.

Um...ask yourself a question.
Is Goldson as dominant at his position as Patrick Willis is?
That was Ronnie Lott.

Ronnie Lott is a bit of a stretch. Goldson is becoming a good to very good safety. However, there is no way that he is in Lott territory yet. I like what I see, but there is still a long way to go for Goldson.

He would have to improve his coverage and tackling skill at least 100% to be in the same category, plus he could NEVER EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER stop on a play like he did in the Cleveland game.
