How many times have we heard that this year?! I hear it every week. I hear it on the radio. I hear it from the color commentators.
I believe that every play the Niners run are "well designed plays" but they get a little extra attention when the play is executed to perfection. The offense hasn't totally executed every play the way they should... but could you imagine if they did?!
I bet we never would have heard those words said during Nolan or Singletary's reign...

Yup. And we don't want to go there.

To be fair, Jimmy Raye had some very tricky plays. We tended to run them on 4th and short. Lots of throwbacks and slipscreens to Vernon Davis, if I remember right.
Most coaches have two or three ace-in-the-hole plays that they'll only trot out in a critical situation. Singletary/Raye had those. Of course, it was the other 99% that was facepalm-worthy.
I don't think the Harbaugh/Roman niners have "better-designed" plays, since designing plays is easy. They're better gameplanners and better play callers.

Yeah, the timing in the passing game will get better by playoffs. All indicators point to a great GB vs SF game.

If those yahoos were any good, they still be here and we would have been playoff contenders the past couple of years.

Like that one trick where he keeps his eyes open while sleeping during games.

Anybody know why Delani Walker is not getting the ball more? Is it a case of too many receivers not enough balls to go around or is he getting squeezed out of most formations due to protections and those weird jumbo formations that color commentators classify as "cute".

yesterday sure he didnt get the ball, but the game before he had about 6 rec for 60 or 70 yards, thats the type of team we got, spread the wealth, every game is gonna be different in terms of who gets their stats. we're like a good basketball team with 4 or 5 guys capable of gettin 25-30 points a game, u never know who its gonna be
