I'd cry if this guy leaves the 49ers.

Offensive coordinators leaving don't sting nearly as bad when it's an offensive-minded head coach. So it's not like when Sing/Nolan were coach and they kept leaving. Harbaugh is the alpha dog of the offense. We'd still have the same system and use the same terminology next year. Harbaugh would just plug in another good, young mind and the train would keep on rolling. It's not like before when Smith would have to start completely all over from scratch.

LOL you guys don't get it. They're (minus Seely) NFL-turned-college-returning-NFL coordinators, they won't be taking head coaching gigs for another 4-5 years. -Even then; Roman, Fangio, and Seely were all offered head coaching jobs in the past, but have turned the possibility down.
Also, Harbaugh has so much pull/eye for talent anyways, that he can attract/find a coordinator just as talented to replace the last guy.

Ya I'm sure they'll be a line of owners looking to hire a first year OC whose team ranks 24th in total offense.

Yeah McCarthy has been around the NFL since 93 and was assistant coach of the year with the Saints. He also was Favre's QB coach one year when he threw for 4100 yards. His one year with us had no bearing on him getting the HC gig.
I dont think Roman will be going anywhere unless its a college job. Im sure pretty much all the teams know why we're good this year and its our head coach.

I hope Roman and Fangio are some of those guys who realize that head coaching is maybe not for them. They don't need to look like fools like Rex Ryan and other jumped up coordinators who don't have the personality to be the spokesman. And I hope our front office steps up at the end of the year and makes our coordinators the highest paid coordinators in the league. So far they totally deserve it.
Because what this coaching staff is doing is epic. To let it get broken up would be telling the fans, "You know what, we don't care about dynasties anymore." Crap that. You can spend five million on a one year cornerback, you can spend a couple mill on playoff reaching coordinators.

Coach Seely would be a loss. Dudes a SB winner and been around for a while. Our special teams may not put us in winning positions if it were not for the work Seely does. Just one of the many parts that makes this team what it is today.

It is so hard to believe that guy was our OC last year. We had a solid bunch of guys, but the schemes were just Division II. No offense to Jimmy, I'm sure he knew ball in his day, but our schemes were comical last year. Comical.
Now we have cutting edge coaching on both sides of the ball and our mediocre offense is now above average and our tough defense is now vying for best in the league. We all knew we needed better coaching but none of us knew just how badly we needed it and what a difference it would make.

I'd cry too. After years of bitter failures and the revolving door at OC, the success of this years team is so sweet, to lose any of our coaches would be a shame. A little stability in the coaching staff would be nice for a change. Why don't those owners go raid other teams (college or pro) and leave us alone while we win some more rings.
