Where is the respect for Carlos Rogers?

If he keeps playing well the niners will offer him a 2 or 3 yr extension but won't break the bank for him and probably wont need to. Winning teams are more easily able to retain thier 2nd tier free agents. That's a luxury the niners have not had in years.

An offense that doesnt play run run pass punt will improve the defense. Thats one of the big differnces this year is that the offense is getting some first downs and they are controlling the ball more. So the defense is on the field less and that equates to less plays and then less chances for the other teams offense. Rodgers is doing a very good job. If the team continues to win the players are going to want to be here and they will for less money.

Rogers had a rough time in D.C. so he seems to be in heaven and enjoying the team, coaches and fanns. To a 30 yr old with money in the bank a reasonable new contract with a place he feels comfortable and likes is more important than trying to break the bank. He already did that in DC.

Combination of things -
A). The D is getting a pass rush which helps the secondary
B). The O is on the field longer giving the D some time to rest and make adjustments
C). Carlos is play dynamite. He is being coached very well.
The ultimate respect will be a resigning. If it costs a lot of $ - GOOD, it's always good paying for value as opposed to a resigning of some slightly better than average player like Lawson.

Pound sand bro. I used the search function but didn't see a thread that was about his performance this season. If I missed it then that's my bad, but keep your panties on "Diva"
EDIT: Sorry man, having a bad day. You didn't do anything to deserve that response, I'm just a lil grumpy
