Lock up our OC and DC now!

I dont think we need to worry. Fangio doesnt seem to aspire to be a HC, and Roman will need to put a portfolio bigger than just 6 games as a OC in hte NFL. Both seem happy where they are at right now.
I don't think there's anything we can do right now to "lock them up." They're under contract already, I'm sure, and we have no control over whether another team offers them a HC position after the season.
I think these guys like working together, and as long as Harbaugh continues to share the spotlight I can't see them going anywhere else.

Good for them if they get offers. You cant stop people from advancing.

before we lose them in the off season again! We may have a poorly ranked offense but we're getting the job done and we're winning! I'd hate to see us have to start over next year and learn a new system!

They aren't going anywhere as OC or DC, people don't move laterally unless they are not appreciated. We can always match the offfer. If they are offered HC position, there is nothing you can do about it, yes they are contractually tied to you, but it would be stupid to try to prevent them from moving up-then no other coach is going to want to be part of your organiztion in the future. Yeah Fangio has been there and done that, he is not interested in being a HC anymore at least that is what he said once, but who knows. Turner and McCarthy bolted to be HC
I'd say that if there was anyone on our staff to worry about possibly losing it would be Tomsula.
I don't think you can "lock them up" per se...I believe they cannot actively be searching for another coaching job. Other NFL teams can only conduct interviews after the season has ended (otherwise it violates the tampering by-laws of the NFL), unless they are offered coaching positions outside of the NFL (i.e. when Charlie Weiss was offered the Notre Dame HC job) in which case they have to honor the contract till the end of the season (or playoff season if their team gets there).

We really can't lock any of these guys up at all...

I think they can entertain offers as long as its a promotion. They would have to be HC jobs wouldnt be able to leave to go be a coordinator somewhere else until their contract is up. But the inquiring team usually asks permission to interview the person

I stand corrected, you're right as long as the other team gets permission...
