that's right Joe, and then there are some other stats. Alex banged out a 60.3 QB rating sunday, yet clearly won the game. He was what, 11 for 17 and had a number of throwaways(usually at the receivers feet), he had some blatant drops, and yes, he got ball taken away on first play of game and then sacked when he could have thrown it away. But overall, he managed the game extremely well, had several good scrambles, but also had a TD called back. 60.3 was his rating, but you realize how sometimes stats do not tell everything, sometimes not even close. As for Aldon, Bowman, Frank...well, those stats don't lie.

Smith was 17-32 for 125yds 1td and 1int.. but guess what? we still won!! thats alot to be excited about when your QB struggles yet your team can still pull out a W v.s a hot 5-0 team. NOT to mention Alex Smith throws the game WINNING TD on 4th down after struggling to find a rythem all game. Alot to be fired up about, now lets clean some things up and beat up Cleveland in 2 Sundays

Thanks 49ers num. Last game was 11/17, and this was 17/32. Point is alex helped us get a W here , in a very inhospitable place, where everybody picked against us. Chris collinsworth did pick the 9ers. My pick was 9ers, 27-28.

No QB keeps up 100 rating games. All that matters is that Smith came through when we needed it and that we can now win games we make mistakes in. The we started that game, we would have gotten blown out last year.

Not true. Steve Young had a career rating of 133. If posters really want to compare him to "Niner Greats" he better step it up...

during the lions game, the niners sent 4 or less rushers in all BUT 1 play while on defense. 5 sacks, 1 ff, 1 saftey. Awesome defense

Don't need to get sacks when the opponent runs. He's in on passing downs and most teams pass against us. DET threw 50 times.

makes perfect sense, that move he made and the speed he he showed to force that safety was just amazing.
