I love what they're doing at 49er headquarters to get the fans involved and encouraging loudness. Check out the current homepage: http://www.49ers.com/ I hope the fans jump on this and make Candlestick loud once again. This year we have a reason to be and I really think it can pump up the players. GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blame the old people.

I went to the preseason game lastyear against the Vikes. When P-Dub sacked Brett Favre, i got up screaming my ass off, and some old ass lady was looking at me like wtf is he doing with a mean mug on her wrinkled ass face.

Im all for getting loud...at the right times. There are sooo many drunk idiots at the game, screaming when the niners are on offense, yelling profanities at our own players, I could care less if I ever go another game again. I cant wait until the higher prices at the new stadium eliminates all the riff raff. I swear we must have some of the dumbest fans sometimes.

When I was walking out this guy, mid twenties, Hispanic was coming down the escalator next to me. I felt so embarrassed for me cause all he kept saying is "f**k those ni**a ass Buc fans. f**king f*ggets". Over and over. There were young kids with their parents right in front of me.

This thread brings up a good point. It wasn't just the Niners that lost their swagger but the fans did as well. But in the day the Stick was rocking. I am not saying its easy to stay enthusiastic about your team when they are losing I am just saying that the Niners faithful isn't what it used to be. I look forward to better days.
