14-2?

I'm just saying, its very possible. They Giants are weak this year and the Steelers are overrated since forever (sorry I hate the Steelers). Its time for us to get excited about something. We freaking deserve it. I'm not saying that its a lock but we haven't played like this in at least 10 years. I'm gonna say it, we are back. Oh and FYI, I have been an Alex Smith fan the whole time and haven't missed a game since birth I believe. So no bandwagon talk.
Love the enthusiasm!!

However; This team is still a work in progress and it is a heck of a long season so I am going to check my enthusiasm at the door.

The way I see it, the Niners are playing with house money as no one expected much for them, so 4-1 is incredibly thrilling to see.

For me I am just going to enjoy the ride this season and see where it takes them, and save my high expectations for next season.

But, hey, if they do have an outstanding record after this season, I won't complain
I was thinking 11-5 or 10-6....
Yeah, I'm not say lets get cocky because we are winning. Its just nice to finally put a complete game together. They way they played this last Sunday, we are just as good as anyone.

Seriously... level heads. Thinkin 14-2 right now is like the same people thinking this team was legitimately in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes before the season started. There is still ALLOT of improvement that needs to be made to even get to 12-4 let alone a 14-2 team. Even with a win at Detroit which wont be easy, since when can we write in Pitt, NYG, or Washington (well maybe washington) as automatic wins... way to early for that.

Sus never said it won't happen. That's like a hooker on doomsday saying no to a deal.

This thread could turn into a crow eating thread.

Nah, you're close, but this is how it will go. In 1980, we went 6-10, and in 2010, we went 6-10. Thus, on the 30 year anniversary of our first Super Bowl, destiny dictates we go 13-3, face the franchise that has owned us for 20 years, the packers, in the NFC Championship game where Alex connects with a healthy Josh Morgan for the Catch III, and then we go on to beat AFC North member, the ravens, where Harbaugh not only proves that he is the better sibling, but restores Camelot, and starts the 49ers dynasty anew.
The Packers won't even go 14-2. I'm feeling REAL good that the NFC West is ours and we'll be in the playoffs this year, but 14-2 is really pushing it. Like the enthusiasm though, better than seeing 'We're going 0-16' posts.

I think u have those picks backwards my friend. We have Pitt and NY at home. Not only are they traveling across the country, I truly believe that we're better than both of 'em. As for Washington, they're playing well and its in their house. East coast games are always tough but hey, we're 2-0 this yr. F it, win 'em all!!!

I feel the same way. 11-5 if we get lucky. Most likely 10-6. Winning the division over Seattle by 2 games.
Im excited about last weeks win too, but sheeeeesh
If everyone stays healthy and we continue to play at a very high level it is a small possibility.

It's more to reiterate the 'one game at a time' mentality.

Aside from the Browns the remaining non-divisional opponents we face have the potential to blowout anyone anywhere. We are playing some of the best football right now but it's a 16 game season. It'd be nice to end up 15-1 but as long as we keep showing progress game in and game out I'm happy with just making the playoffs in Harbaugh's 1st year regardless of record.
We are all jumping up and down like little girls over being 4-1 and folks are throwing out the 14-2 talk? Ridiculous, and not because it's impossible, but that after a decade of crap fans minds are lost after a early season 3 game win streak....

There is a lot of football yet to be played this season. The Niners are showing improvement, but don;t be surprised if we reel off a string of losses yet this season. People WILL figure Harbaugh out a little. Success WILL go to some of our players heads for a little bit. We have very little chance of going 14-2 imo. I will be freaking ecstatic with 10-6 and a playoff win.
We will have 10+ wins unless some serious regression happens. Win or lose Sat and i still believe that. We still have 5 more divisional games.
