I agree. I would say I do trust him, but trust him to manage the game and not commit any turnovers. I really respect his personality for the reasons you just stated. But, lets be honest: our defense is winning our games. If we win the superbowl this year, it will be in the "defense wins championships" fashion (e.g. 2000 Ravens).Smith is doing great, but Harbaugh hasn't been asking him to do too much.

Please! Smith isn't Dilfer from the Ravens. Smith is the reason this offensive did anything from Week 1 to Week 5. Remember the 9ers didn't have a run game from Week 1-3. Dear lord, can you haters give your starting QB some love when he clearly is playing top 5 football. Smith is in the top 10 of QBs this year.

Yes, I know there are more games to go but just stop with the nonsense.

The numbers validate what we've been seeing from Smith. No point in saying anymore. The other side's argument is getting very thin, almost contrary to what we all are seeing.

He only had 11 completions. Relax. You guys are reading way too much into qb rating. He underthrew Vernon which could have been a touchdown pass, and missed Crabtree in the end zone.

I'll match that for what it's worth......

He also scrambled out of the pocket and threw a perfect ball to D. Walker in the end zone, it would have been a td but Walker misjudged it and spun like a ballerina......
For what it's worth....

Alex even pointed to the corner of the end zone but Walker for some reason decided to turn in instead of continuing the way he was already going.
He set the single-game record for ESPN's Total QBR rating against TB
