This, the Giants playoff game was a ... playoff game. But the bootleg by Alex was the last time he came back and won on the road against a team that was supposed to win.

This is what I was thinking. I told my wife, I don't remember a comeback like this since the Giants game.
Has it been that long?

Numerically, it's the biggest since the 2002 playoff game. I do remember Rattay and the Niners storming back against the Cards in '04 for one of their two wins; I know they got 16 in the final 4 minutes to tie it, but they may have been down by more than that at some point.
We were close in a few games recently (Houston in '09, Green Bay '09, Philly '10), but actually getting it done for once feels amazing.

Wow. Just wow! I mean, I knew it felt like a decade since we had a comeback like that, but it really has been one.
Still. In. Shock.

According to Erich Branch from the San Francisco Chronicle, it has been even longer than 2002:

Biggest comeback win for #49ers since Oct. 20,1996 (beat Bengals, 28-21, after trailing 21-0).

Eric Branch better go back to his notes, because he's wrong.
