That is going to be a tough task. If the 9ers can steal that game and go into the bye 3-3 we may be looking at our first division title in quite some time (barring major injury).

T.B. embarrassed us in our own house last year. I expect our team to be fired up.

I agree. I think we go 3-3 heading into the bye. 4-2 would be great. 5-1 would be a MIRACLE!!!!
I think this year this team finally has a chance to get over the hump and win the tough games, remember Atlanta (Clement's fumble) game? That Falcons team was as strong as they come and we almost pulled it off, on the road, with gotdamn Singletary!!!!

But yea, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Beat the Eagles, let's go 3-1! We are right on schedule for the big surprise.
I think the Lions game is winnable as well. The Vikings imploded after all but sealing that game up. I think this Eagles game is the true test for us.
I think that the easiest games for the 9ers are within the division, Seahawks, Rams, and Cardinals.

I don't know but the schedule is pretty rough.

Philly
Tampa
Lions
Cleveland (should be very tough)
Skins (should be very tough)
Giants
Ravens
Steelers
LOL!! were in a world now where the got damn lions are an automatic loss THE LIONS!!!!!!!! by that time our offense god willing should start getting better and we should be able to move the ball on their d, just for the love of god block suh. i have faith our d will stop their running game which is bad right now, just gotta hit stafford and pray we can stop megatron. this game is winnable, the lions are not some power house

I agree that the Lions are yet to become a powerhouse. However, you have to think that the entire league will start to get better along with the 9ers as the season progresses. The BIG IF on this team is the O-line how much better can they really get?

at this point if we could play these 8 games to a 4/4 or even 3/5 record i like our shot at the division

Good observation. To have a legit shot at the division title we need to be 3-3 at the bye. It will be much more difficult at 2-4. Detroit is a very good team (for once) this year. On the road we will loose there. TB is a better team than the Eagles, but we play them at home. Both will be tough games, hopefully we can come out with a win against one of them.

Personally, I don't think we match up well against the Eagles without our running game going strong. The Eagles are weak against the run, but we have struggled to get anything going on the ground. It has always been our passing game that bails us out. IF we can have some success running the ball this week, that should be the difference maker. We win time of possesion, and the Eagles secondary would really have to watch the play action.

The Lions are one of the better teams in the league this year. I wouldn't call it an automatic loss, but our secondary has proven to struggle against strong passing teams (like Dallas). On the road this game will be a real test.

Detroit is pretty good this year, but they're a very young team capable of mistakes. I also think the Lions won't be able to sustain the level of play they're playing at now. Stafford is always one hit away from being out for the season. Im not sold on TB yet.

On another note: Doesn't it feel good to know we at least have a chance of winning these games this year?

Me too.
As it stands right now we can win these games if the 9ers fire on all cylinders.

Philly- weak O-line & suspect defense.
Tampa- Low scoring team, have to stop the run.
Lions- Pressure Stafford, average O-line.
Browns- Low scoring team, suspect QB
Skins- Suspect QB
