I was curious to see how Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers would react after losing a heart-breaker to Dallas. At first, I was thinking they looked absolutely terrible to start off against Cincinnati. Alex was getting hit A LOT. This caused him to get really wild and bring out "Inaccurate Alex." I might've given an F to Harbaugh and the coaching staff for that first half if not for the fact that they seemed to really be trying to get the ball to Vernon Davis. I appreciate the creativity and the willingness to try something new. But yes. That first half was pretty inept. Luckilly, the Bengals were equally inept on offense, so we were able to hang in there. In the second half, I was wondering if Harbaugh could adjust. And he did. The 49ers moved the ball much better. It wasn't explosive by any means, but they did what they had to do to score some points. The Crabtree play should've been a TD, but yes... I liked the adjustments that Harbaugh and the offensee put out. It's been awhile since I've seen our coaching staff adjust. And finally, the ending. That was a bit nerve-racking, but it was all taken care of so well that the Bengals didn't even have a chance to have a last gasp. My impression after that is that I'm glad we have a coach who can actually coach. Time will tell how good he is, and I'm by no means annointing him. The offensive line looked terrible. We couldn't run the ball. We had ten penalties, and A LOT of pre-snap penalties. He's still very conservative. But it's good to see that we have... competency. Thoughts?

WAIT WHAT?! so you would rather have punted the ball and risk a block in the endzone for a game tying TD?

I think that was probably the smartest play harbaugh did all game. even the announcers called it before he did it
