I don't like it but Gore also isn't the focal point of the offense at this point, he has just over 100 yards in two games! I think this approach will force us to go out and get other players next year that will have to have an immediate impact. VD is blocking again, like he did back in the Nolan days so this shows us that the coaching staff has to mature as well.
All in all I think in about 4-5 weeks it will be hard to tell where a team needs to attack us on ofense & defense since it is no longer a one man show on either side of the ball.
Your thoughts?
I think VD blocking shows us that the line needs all the help it can get. VD is a better blocker than Walker which is why it seems Walker is running routes more when they're in a two TE set.

If we can get all our playmakers involved it will be a good thing. I hope to see incremental improvement week after week. If we can split our first 6 games we should be in good shape for the final half of the season.

It's unfortunate and hes obviously a little disappointed with his role but teams are going to game plan for him, so lets hope our WR's get back healthy and up to speed.

The focus has to come away from Gore, the guys wont change that in one or two games, but if the coaches and play calls can get the other weapons involved and they become very productive as we go through the season . . . . Gores lanes open up, and we know he can do the rest.
