its just been a crappy team and the costs of going to the game. Were still in a recession. They keep raising ticket prices. I never seen the stick so empty on a openening day game vs an NFC Divison foe.
But dont the tickets have to be sold out for the game to be on TV. I was also kind of shocked to see how empty it was for opening day.

I believe either the network or the team buys out the rest of the stadium. they actually take less of a financial hit that way vs. having a blackout.

If you build the stadium next to giants park and you will get more people to go. Its a nicer scenery and you can do more after the games in that area than in hunter point.

That is all.
*edit* people getting shot in the parking lot doesn't do much to inspire confidence either
and it doesn't help when you bring back one of the main reason we have stunk for the past 7 years.
its funny when folks from the internet slam our home fans for booing Alex...they are the ones who pay alot of money to go to these games. If they are STILL being forced fed Alex after all these years...well eventually, some are just not going to want to make that trip....or spend that money.
it doesn't matter how some feel about Alex here on the webzone...if you look at it from the home fan's perspective, if you are one of the fans who boos Alex....what would have been the motivation to go to a game this year, if he was brought back again? Some fans can only take too much.
I don't think this is the main reason...but I wouldn't be surprised if it was for some. Coach and Alex are going to have to win over some of the fans who might not be as motivated as before.

Cause Al Davis is cheap... The Yorks would buy out the tickets and give it to corporate sponsors if they had to.
