This was for a different team but I'll take it for the Niners since it was not a game we won in spite of Alex.
An ugly win in September is one of the prettiest things this slow-starting team has seen in years.

19. 49ers (No. 25; 1-0): Two undefeated teams in the Bay Area could be a sign that the end is near.

That #19 ranking from NBC Sports. is the highest I've seen in a while. It wouldn't be more ridiculous if the Raiders weren't ranked a notch higher than us.
Do these rankings even mean anything?
Maybe we should look at something at least somewhat quantitatively based like Sagarin's ratings?

Bills are an East Coast team which looks decent for the first time in nearly two decades....so they're better than sliced bread to BSPN.

Dang it. I find myself getting kind of excited again.
I have to keep reminding myself that Alex is still the QB of this team and, at some point, he's going to do something stupid.
I cannot allow myself to get jazzed about one win, nor the uppage in the power rankings.
I won't go there! No!
Damn, I'm kinda excited...

It is called having faith, embrace it, revel in it. Faith in your team is an admirable quality, screw the non believers. Be an unrepentant homer, it is all that is good about sports.

I really can't wait for Sunday. I know Harbaugh will have this team ready, so unlike previous years where we always seemed to completely flop against competition better than us (at San Diego on Thursday Night, or Kansas City last year come to mind immediately).
