If Rex Grossman can make it to the Superbowl with a strong defense & special teams then by golly Alex Smith can too!

what are we talking about?
Being outcoached in the 2nd half and sitting on it when you have a high percentage to close the deal.

No, it is an idication of Harbaugh's weekly prep "innovation" meaning nothing. It is what happens in the games that count and so far, it wasn't impressive.

I don't agree with this. For a series in Q3, the Seahawks had success. Then, we got back on them. Also, coaching contributed to the two ST TDs.... in the second half.

Good thing you're not jumping to early conclusions or anything.

Not saying you'd do this, but I could see a progression like this -- from some fans -- if our season went this way:

1-0 -- "That's not saying much."
2-0 -- "That's not saying much."
3-0 -- "It was Cincy. Still not saying much."
3-1 -- "I told you it wasn't saying much."
4-1 -- "Well, it's too early."
4-2 -- "See I told you it's still too early."
5-2 -- "We're not even halfway through the season yet."
5-3 -- "See? I'm not getting my hopes up."
6-3 -- "I'm hopeful."
7-3 -- "We'll see what happens next week."
7-4 -- "Watch us collapse. This team isn't that good."
8-4 -- "We got lucky."
9-4 -- "Well, gotta give credit, our first winning season in about a decade."
9-5 -- " We'll be one and done in the playoffs."
9-6 -- "We lost to THAT crap? Yeah, told you we're not going anywhere."
10-6 -- "Alex Smith still sucks and we'll lose in the playoffs. "

singletary did the same thing.

And we did get outcoached in the 2nd half, they just got out-ginned.

How did we get back on them? We made a drive that resulted in 3 points? In fact, our offense score 3 points the entire second half.

And about the kick returns, I'm sure you wouldn't give credit to another team's coaching if they run back 2 consecutive on us. It's a bonus more than anything.

As good of a prognostication as any. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of the people respond along those lines with that record.
