Is it a hurry up offense or no huddle maybe? And has anyone read or seen anything in practice or in interviews about the whole uptempo thing?
Instead of spending a separate amount of practice time for conditioning, he increased the tempo of practice to game type tempo to get the players in shape while practicing the plays.

not only that, i believe that JH wants them outta the huddle at the line ready to run the plays before the D can get set

To get the team in a rhythm. If players are practicing high tempo and in rhythm it should translate to tempo and rhythm on the field.

This. Plus practice for the length of a game at game speed to increase endurance or something like that...

I actually researched that. How? My 30 second skip forward on the DVR. Under Singletary, the offense was always just getting out of the huddle or still walking towards the LOS to line up.
What are my findings of this advanced research under Harbaugh. The offense is already set upon the 30 second skip forward.
Note, this is from the whistle at the end of the previous play is when I hit the 30second skip.

It's also to give the QB more time to read the defense and allow the offensive personnel time to shift and expose the defensive coverage.
JH probably got frustrated by the amount of time he had to spend skipping forward for watching delay of game penalties on his tivo while watching last years film.

Basically, it is establishing the pace of the game by the offense. By definition, the defense wouldn't "overwhelm with tempo" because they are reactive (they can't do anything until the ball is snapped). If the offense establishes a tempo, they would be consistently huddling up, getting to the line and then executing a positive yards play. 3 and outs would snap the tempo. In essence, it is a ball/clock controlling strategy that doesn't allow the defense to make their adjustments until the drive is over.
The reason we as Niner fans are unfamiliar with this is because our offense hasn't had tempo since 2002 (2 yard run, 1 yard run, incomplete pass, punt is not establishing tempo). Picture IND, NE, GB and SD over the past couple of years and that is a good example of teams that have tempo.

yup, Oregon Ducks pace. Which means we'll be 3 and out faster than ever. Time of Possession 4 minutes, opponent 56 minutes.

The team practices their tempo constantly and for the most part it works fine. The big problem is, they have not worked together long enough to feel comfortable in executing the offense with the pace that Harbaugh wants. Practice is fine, but it's a whole different world out there in exhibition and the regular season. Iupati's unfamiliarity with the blocking schemes showed, hell, they all looked a bit off balance. The cohesion and tempo will come with more practice and real game experience. What about the OL coaching?
