2006 niners team vs 2011 niners team

2006 niners team won 7 games...isnt the talent on this years squad better than it was in 2006---gives me hope this team can win 9 or 10 games realizing that this team is bringing a new staff and systems--still, while alex smith is hated by many, isnt he a better qb than in 2--6, as far as command in the huddle, footwoork, mechanics etc gore is older but looks to be still an effective runner, and the backups arer better edwards crabtree and morgan is better than bryant, battle and whoever else was playing wideout in 2006 vernon davis is a better player, than he was a s a rookier , and walker is another threat the 2006 oline, with jennings allen heitman and kwame was probably better than this years unit no justin smith or patrick willis on the 2005 squad the seconday may have been better in 2006 but i think the harbaugh staff will prove better than nolan and his staff--and the nfc west is much weaker than in 2006 (seattle was stronger, cards had warner iirc)

I said it last year, I was wondering how our 2006 team won 7, and played hard every week and our 2010 team never ever seemed to play that hard.

Will our 2011 team put in the extra effort? Does harbs have what it takes? Will alex wake up from his hibernation?

Gore caught the league by surprise in 2006.

Still, it is amazing we won 7 games that year with Bryant (who got suspended), Battle, and Gilmore.

VD was also out for some games. Eric Johnson for the win!

To be fair, the NFC was kinda dogs**t that year.

Our secondary was garbage. Mike Adams and Keith Lewis were our starters.

Secondary cost us games early on. Later on they got better.

This post gives me hope......however, it's going to be a tough road but I think we have the pieces in place now, we have a lot of quality. solid, hardworking players, but they still have to play up to a certain level. The last game against the texans the problem was the offensive line. We are going nowhere without a solid line. I think our line can be good, but they got manhandled.

I think our team can be good with Harbaugh as the coach, but we got really screwed with the lockout. We are behind the other teams AGAIN. West Coast offense is quick hitting, rhythmic passing and the offense really needs the reps and they didn't get that. Let's hope they can find it quickly.

I would also like to say that in the 2 to 7 win range is really about the same in the NFL.....it's not what we are looking for. WE WANT 10 WINS. It's going to be tough to do, we cant have breakdowns in so many areas to do this, but I believe in harbaugh and the staff. They are going to get it done.

Thank god we are in a crappy division.
