I vote Wragge. Either way, you can polished a turd all you want, but at the end of the day, you still have a pile of sh!t.

Trying to adjust after beating head on wall:
Is this post for real? First, Snyder may start over Goodwin. Second, Snyder may end starting over Rachal. Third, Snyder plays all five positions on the OL. This is like asking if Willis should make the Sunday active roster.
Lock this puppy up.

I still think both make the team.
They are the two most versatile O linemen. Snyder came into the league as a tackle but can now play every position on the line. Wragge, is mainly an interior lineman, but he has played tackle for us in games.
That's two players that can back up every position on the O line. On a team with O line problems. I think they both stay.

I like Staley as much as the next guy, but he is injury prone. Snyder did a fairly good job of plugging that hole last year, so given the poll's either/or question, I've gotta go with Snyder.

Neither are reliable at OT and there's not much separating them in the inside. Snyder has underachieved for years. He gets hyped up ever year, but doesn't come through. Wragge has been solid on the interior for us. I'm not buying the Snyder hype this year.
I'm not going to get my hopes up for Boone either. We heard all this before.

I can't even believe this is a question. Snyder can play all 5 positions on the line. He is not great at Tackle but he is more than adequate at Guard and Center. He can play 3 positions well and 2 if you need him in case of injuries. Wragge doesn't have that value. Our most valuable backup is Snyder. And as others said he may end up starting. And the criticism of him is more related to play at Tackle. He can play there in case of injury but it's not his most natural position. He's a good interior linemen.

This should be our OL inventory of the 53 man squad.
Staley -- Iupati -- Snyder -- Rachal -- Boone
-- Wragge - Goodwin -- Kilgore - A. Davis
total = 9
* don't care which center starts... fu*k Anthony Kwame Davis. He should not play until ready (if ever)...

... because so far, he is playing excellent football in Harbaugh's new scheme. Don't believe me? Try actually WATCHING THE GAMES CLOSELY.

I think the 49ers keep 8 OL on the 53 man roster and 1 or 2 on the PS.
My projection of the OL
Starters
Staley
Iupati
Goodwin
Rachal
Davis
Bench
Snyder
Boone
Kilgore
I think Wragge will get released when the 49ers cut to reach 53,
Person to the PS...

I have no particular love for Rachal, but you're dead to rights here. He seems to have his nose in close contact with a significant corner at this point. He's not doing the "stink bug" anymore and he looks like a wrecking ball everywhere else, especially when he gets a pull.
A month from now, if this keeps up, I'll be singing his praises.

Are you illiterate? I'm well aware Snyder COULD start at center or right guard, that's why I said ASSUMING the starting 5 are Staley/Iupati/Goodwin/Rachal/Davis because that IS the most LIKELY starting 5. Also, Wragge plays the 3 interior line positions BETTER than Snyder, and even showed in the Rams game last year he could play tackle if needed. He also plays on the kickoff return unit. Lastly, are you really implying Snyder dressing on Sundays is tantamount to Willis. Really? That's the same thing to you?
