Pat feels the 49ers will NOT abandon what they've done in the past:

"They will do what they did before AND MORE."

"Teams will have more stuff to adjust to. The 49ers will have more situational advantages compared to last year....they will not abandon 1 wide receiver packages, and if they feel they can take it to you, they will pound the ball on you."

If this is not exciting you guys offensively, I don't know what to say.

We'll never know how well the execution will be until the games are played, but playcalling should get better this season from what I'm hearing.

Baalke:

Looking at a lot of tape each day
Likes what he's seeing in LaMichael as he finds his way
Kendall Hunter having a great camp
Gore - one of the best gap scheme running backs to play in this league in a very long time
Cox gives us a real advantage in nickel situations
The communication amongst the secondary is great
Boone is holding onto RG spot for now, but we'll have to see what happens in the preseason
