Thompson is the type of guy who will end up starting for the niners in three or four years. He is actually in a decent situation where he can develop and play against the speed of the NFL. I hope he uses this opportunity to develop and polish his skills.

McBLT just cut from the practice squad. He didn't do s**t for his skills in the past 20 minutes, apparently.
The Texans cut Jeff Maehl, I'd like to see him on our practice squad.

Brock? He's played well, no?

Also: the team didn't sign Ronald Johnson to the PS. lol, ouch.

Should of kept Adams, and cut Spencer. Highly overrated.

I think the remaining 3 spots will consist of prospects from other teams which we may have missed out on originally.

Good call PT.... You were right on all 5.

hmmmm....IDK about that. I like Adams and was pulling for him, but that would be an awfully green CB group. Spencer has hit his ceiling but he is still solid.

Adams is only 75% recovered from his severe ankle injury last season and incidentally, is not practice squad eligible.

The Niners really didn't have much choice other than to cut him. If he can regain his health in the next couple of months, perhaps the team can add him to the roster later on in case an injury arises (likely)...

However, a more likely scenario is that Adams' injury was so bad that he may never regain his speed, which was quite good apparently. If you can't run, you can't play CB in the NFL. I think if the Niners thought he could recover, they would have put him on injured reserve. Face it, Zoners, the Phillip Adams of 2011 isn't the Phillip Adams of 2010. The team has to move on. This league is unforgiving.
