Any game we put up 0 points. Been watching the Niners since the early days of Montana through the offensive jugarnaut of Montana, Young, Rice. Pure torture seeing how far we had fallen.

A game in Chicago where Cody Pickett had his one and only start and completed 1 pass for the game. A kickoff by the 49ers was 9 yards deep in the end zone, Nathan Vasher caught the ball hesitated for a moment, as the 49ers kickoff team let up, he then ran all the way for a TD.

back in 1995, when we lost to the expansion panthers as defending champs, believe we were the first to ever do that

49ers @ Seahawks; 2007.
That game was one of the most depressing/disheartening games I had ever witnessed. Days previous, Mike Nolan's father (Dick) had passed, and Alex Smith was destroying himself, playing on a broken shoulder (which was barely 6 weeks healed). -If we had won that game, it would have meant us staying within playoff contention; whole team was a mess, the final score was 0-24.

Any loss against the Cowgirls...but the worst to me was the 87 game vs the Vi-Queens! where Anthony Carter went off! heart breaker!

I dont remember the exact year, maybe 1999, when we lost in the divisional playoffs to the falcons 20-18 and lost Garrison Hearst to that gruesome ankle injury. I really thought we had the team to win it all that year, especially how we started the season with the 99 yd TD win against the Jets. Besides that I would say any loss to the stupid fudge packers and there lambeau leap of tardation.

The 49ers blowing it to Green Bay in the 1995 Playoffs. Pathetic.

I think Walsh would agreed with you on this one. In later years Walsh blamed himself for getting the team too 'tight' for the game. Should have been a SB year for us. If I remember right he had thought that team had more talent than the '84

The Chicago game in 06 where grossman and the defense put up 42 pts in the first half, or the game in 06 where we were shut out by the Damon Huard led Chiefs.
The falcons game, in 09 I believe, was embarrassing and so was the 24-0 shut out against the Seahawks in 07

For me it has to be the 86 playoff loss to the Giants. Montana comes back from a serious back injury that could have ended his career earlier in the seaon. Rice fumbled what should have been an early touchdown on the road, Montana gets knocked the hell out and it was all downhill from there. The next year's playoff loss to Minnesota is a close second. Still painful.
