Im so tired of hearing people complain about every thread turning into an ALex Smith thread. HE IS OUR QUARTERBACK!!! I guarantee you Peyton Mannings name comes up in every Colts thread on their board. Yet Im sure dont hear smug posters complain about that on their boards.

Give it a rest! OF COURSE our quarterbacks name will come up in a ton of threads.

we won 6 regular season games last year. not 7

you are absolutely right, thats how many close games we lost last year. dingleberry lost us the rams game that would have given us 7 wins. alex was like 5-1 vs the rams and sing sits him for troy. what an ass clown!

I'm not sure this team has 8-win talent on it but I do know that the offense is going to be a lot more fun to watch.

Much easier schedule last season.

what you talking about willis? we played 8 playoff teams last year(half our games) and the first 5 were all playoff teams which was brutal. and the reason for the 0-5 start that was impossible to overcome.

this year we play against 5 playoff teams and one of those playoff teams is sea. this years schedule is much, much easier and it doesnt start out with a mountain of 5 playoff teams in our way.

bad argument!!!

Yes, last year started out tough. However, after the first 5, it was much easier. This year Detroit will be a wild card contender if not division winner. The Ram defense along with a more experienced Bradford, will make them NFC West winner. TB will be a wild card if not division winner. AZ, though Kolb is over-rated by some, will be more difficult than last season. Seahawks added a Pro Bowl-level receiver with Rice, along with other talent. The only "breathers" on this year's schedule will be the Bengals and the Redskins, and possibly the Browns if McCoy is not able to continue to show well. I could easily see this year start off 2-4 or even 1-5 if we don't beat Seattle @ home - no sure thing given that Seattle is working the same system while we are still learning.

I hope I am being too pessimistic but I don't think so.

How bout that MNF Saints game last year?
Oh yeah and we can't forget the Falcon's game.

There's another 2 right there that were 'in the bag' both playoff teams no less.

I think a lot of those claims are pretty unrealistic. Detroit still has Chicago and GB to get through, oh yeah and the lions sucked last year. The Rams were not very good last year, hence the 7-9 finish. TB still plays in the same division as the Falcons and Saints last time I checked, nothing easy there. And I pretty much promise you that Seattle is going to be sunk by their lack of QB talent, a la last year's cards. We are in a WAY better position this year just because our coaches know what coaching is.

Everything is speculation at this point. I am quite optimistic myself, but who knows?

But if that was the worst post you have ever read, I can only shake my head in disbelief. Stick around, after a while posts like that won't even register on the Richter Scale! DJ has his opinion, you don't agree. Doesn't make it a bad post.
I still cant believe some of you would be stupid enough to want to trade Gore...

Umm... if you're going to rip someone, maybe you should try giving reasons. The "" emoticon is not a very convincing argument.
