Jerry should be hired as our special assistant coach. There probably can't be a better teacher of the WR position.

San Francisco 49ers great Jerry Rice is joining ESPN as an analyst, as reported by SI.com. A formal announcement is expected to be made later this week.

Rice will appear on ESPN's SportsCenter, NFL Live and new show Audibles. Audibles will bring Rice and former 49ers teammates Steve Young together for a weekly Thursday show starting Septemeber 15.

The growth of Rice's on-air resume grows with his hire by ESPN. The Hall of Famer has been on NBC Bay Area's Sports Sunday program as well as an analyst for BBC Television's coverage of the NFL. Rice has also been on Sirius NFL Radio.

Considered as the greatest player to ever play in the NFL, Rice will provide insight from his 20 years of experience as a player to the three ESPN shows.

He really didnt say much, you can tell he was hesitant to really insert his opinion in any statements about the 49ers. Basically things we all know, Crabtree needs to get camp time to work on his chemistry with Alex, and its unfortunate that he keeps getting injured. On Braylon he just said he needs to work on his hands and focus cause he has the potential to be special.

He was more willing to offer up his opinions on Moss and Hazing, it was obvious he was chosing his words very carefully with the niners so no feathers would get ruffled.

"If you ain't got my money or my bud,

I'm killin' you AND him.

You gonna kill me?

Get the f**k out of my face, man.

Baby!

Can I have my chili fritos?

You can't have s**t. I'm closed, fat boy.

Then give me my money back.

My money.

Mama!

Man, I hate him.

What'd he say?

Huh?

What'd he say?

Oh, he just said for us to pay him at 10:00.

What you mean "us"?

Man, that fool ain't gonna do nothin'.

Man, I know you didn't tell...

Worm!

What you doin'?

Craig.

Worm!

Damn."
