contest all you want. the scoreboard debunks your theory.

The scoreboard is just the scoreboard. There is more than one way to have the same outcome. All those three and outs today and last week....could have have just as much contributed to a loss. It's easy to overlook that.

.Our defense is good, but it isn't that good
6th Ranked

Also, what 3 n outs are we talking about for today? We didn't have an offensive series end on our side of the field until we were killing clock in the 4th qtr.

and... 6th rank Defense in yards? right? Cuz I think we may be #1 in points allowed, which seems way more important.

and there is more than one way to complain about winning. all these complaints today and last week...could have have just as much contibuted to further downward spiral that is Niner Talk. it's easy to overlook that.

Our defense is good, that good.

At the end of the day Scoreboard is all that counts, and whatever deterioration you see in our game play is resulting with wins. A win is a win no matter how you get there and we have got there 7 times this year. Coulda woulda shoulda is no argument. The argument is put to rest due to scoreboard.

road game BACK EAST and it's a win, people! be happy.

only thing that bums me out is the redzone play calling on that last field goal drive. hello?! Braylon Edwards!

other than that, solid win.

Great win, only offense the skins ever really had was last couple minutes. Refs need to pay attention to some of the late hits though. I guess when your playing poorly and are losing badly on a regular basis, you play dirty. (wait we didn't the past 10 years)

Ok so I saw both. Yes the Davis drop and Dixon should have just fell on the fumbled punt. Alex was good today 17-24 for 200 yards 1 TD and no INT's 70% completion percentage.

Yeah, Alex has a 109.7 rating... calculate those in and he has like a 120-125. Call it whining but we have seen what this team can do when both sides of the ball brings it's A game and doesn't make mistakes (48-3 against TB)... we have to cut the penalties and the few drops/mistakes we are making each game. I don't care if we aren't throwing for 350 a game... I love the way we play football just want us to take it to the next level by cutting those mistakes each game. I don't like the Packers style... it seems like they are leaving tradition behind. I guess it doesn't matter if you are winning but it's kind of like society... we want flashy, fast, easy, compared to the past where it was a slow paced, grind it out, hard work, blue collar type of life (just like football back then).
We win games, on the road, without playing our best ball.

This is a very good team.

Oh yeah, 7-1 much?

After we lose in the NFC Semis, no one will remember that how we started out. '

If we suddenly start losing, and drop a couple close ones and fall to 7-3 or 8-4, no one will remember how we started out.

Good god, where is the ignore whiny baby button?

Seriously, we haven't started a season with this many f**king road wins since 1992; people need to seriously STFU. -Even against a mediocre team like the skins, we would not have won this game last season under Sing, Nolan, or f**king Erickson; and f**k, at this point, not even f**king Steve Mariucci (in terms of the direction this team was going in with the cap nightmare/Mooch's intolerable leadership).

yup, we've had a difficult road schedule and are undefeated there. winning on the road against a tough defense is hard--and we've done that over and over again. We're still developing, putting things together, and are still finding ways to win. The only way to not be impressed by this team is to be dead-set on hating it for some reason.

We're better than the Packers and Saints.

They've played nobody. We've played a ton of meaningful road games (mostly on the east coast).

Those teams are one dimensional. We are not. They will need to take 2 of 3 phases of the game. They simply can't compete.
I wonder if the redskins thought this was an easy win at the beginning of the season?

They most certainly did.

I live in DC and like to listen to the local sports station in my cube. There was even a suggestion that the pushover Niners might present Shanahan with an opportunity to audition Beck if Grossman was still looking shaky at the midpoint of the season. Indeed, the local hacks were suggesting on Friday that the Niners were vulnerable to a massive trap game at FedEx. Oooooooh, FedEx field, scary.
