I remember when teams like the Bucs were the youngest teams in the league.
People forget that we are still rebuilding. I know many expected us to add a few key players and hope that we would make the playoffs, but this is a new regime in SF now. I doubt Harbaugh and Baalke want to keep all the players from the Nolan and Singeltary era. This is my guess for why we let guys like Baas, Spikes, Franklin and the others go. I know that Harbaugh wants his guys on this team, because his type of players are completely different from the players that we have been accustomed to having on our team for the past 7 years.
A young team + good coaching staff = success in the long run.
