In your opinion why havent Lawson or Goldson been signed thus far

because both are overated there both finding out that the rest of the league thinks they play like crap and all the teams are offering them back up roles and they think there top tier fa which there not they should just re up with 49ers

The top FAs are setting the market. All agents start the bidding too high, so the price for a mid-range FA is unclear until the top range is established. Now that the top of the market is established, the price of the mid-range is clearer and teams have a better chance of not overpaying. These guys will either be signed in the coming days or will hold off longer as the market for a particular position dwindles and their price possibly creeps back up. They have to be careful not to overestimate their marketability though, in case the demand at their position dries up and they end up forced to take a lesser deal. It's a cat and mouse game now, but don't worry-- the Niners will get their guys. We've certainly got the cap room with Clements cut. It could take a bit though with all the strategic positioning, so don't panic.
