Hopefully they pay Franklin. Get him in camp on time and in shape. Lawson and Spikes can be replaced but a true nose guard cant imho.

what manny lawson IS is a good player in run support and can provide solid coverage. everytime he rushes the QB and sacks the QB it is a coverage sack. the guy scares no one coming on a blitz.

i would like to have him back but if someone else is going to pay him big bucks then so be it. we are a 3-4 team THAT GETS NO PRESSURE FROM IT'S OLB'S! that is absolutely ridiculous. it's time for a change.

Agreed. We haven't the olbs causing havoc to opposing qbs, therefore our pass defense suffers.

It's a meaningless stat. That being said, this team will miss Manny, he plays sideline to sideline better then any outside backer out there. He is a difference maker, we just need him bookend'd with a great pass rusher. Spikes, IMO, can be replaced(although he was a great locker room leader)
