We really had a hard time getting past green bay during Moochs career with us..I remember hearing something about him giving plays to green bay possibly being the reason he got fired..any truth to this?

If that were true, he wouldn't have gotten another coaching job at any level, much less the Lions (who play GB twice a year). Something like that comes out, you're done.

He got fired for 3 reasons

A) He didn't get the 49ers to the Super Bowl

B) He quit in the first half of the Buccaneers game (which truthfully, we shouldn't have even played in since it was the players who won the Giants game, not the coaching)

C) He wanted more control in player personnel and Terry Donahue was an moron and got Mooch fired (Donahue had Walsh's endorsement and he used that to his advantage, until he was pretty much ran out of town.)
