agreed, and IMO heis one of the best 3-4 Ends in the NFL, just cause he isnt a sack machine, doesn't mean he isn't a good player. And he deserved the pro bowl a couple times, and finally got in last yr.
Definitely an underrated player in the NFC West.
how can you call a Pro Bowler underrated?
He made it as an alternate I think, And that was his FIRST probowl. In my mind he is top 5 at his position, and he has that crazy starts in a row streak. that is why he is underrated IMO.
He made it as an alternate 2 years ago but last year he was voted in, he may have started too.
nice, I wasn't sure myself had he made it the yr before, I knew he made it last yr, but 2 yrs in a row, and still underrated IMO. It is sad, because Justin Smith has been solid for years, even before he signed with us, he was a good DE for the Bengals.
That was the year we were interested in Jared Allen. But signed Justin, instead of trading a boatload to KC for Allen. And overall I am happy that we didn't trade away picks for Allen, and just signed Smith outright, and what was funny was he(Smith) was coveted by Minnesota, and was suppose to visit after the Niners, but of course. Nolan took him on a baloon ride and the rest is history.
So defintely a underrated player, who also deserves a ring IMO, and I think he will get it soon, and gets a extension very soon from the 49ers.
