We have now become the Arizona Cardinals of a few years back. Always predicted to win the West...

“First off, they have a good nucleus, and I think Jim Harbaugh will do wonders with Alex Smith. That will put them in position to win that division. This guy is a good coach."

All Alex has to do is be a little better this year. We win because our offense is no longer predictable, thanks to Harbaugh and Roman.

A little better???? Wtf. He needs to be a LOT better to even be considered decent.

As much as I agree with the fact that Alex has a long way to go to be a decent QB, all we needed was for him to have played marginally better in 2010 and we would have been a playoff team. Before going into 2010, I thought we could win in spite of Alex. Now I know we cant. He needs to improve. And if he does even a little bit, that might be enough.

Didn't they eventually make it to a Super Bowl?

Not really. He had a 82 quarterback rating, im pretty sure that's average.
Being a little better will, well...uh.. Make him an above average quarterback

We will see. There are still lots of reasons why not too. A first year HC coming into a lockout with unproven QB's. That's bad. But nobody can be worse than NoWin and SingleBrainCell at coaching and coaching QB's.

Exactly. Singletary may be one of the worse coaches in modern football and we were still in the playoff hunt the last 3 years. So with an upgrade at HC, we have just a good a chance as anyone else.

That rating does not showcase any of the bone head plays he makes, interceptions, overthrows, fumbles, poor decisions, lack of leadership, horrible win/loss record, injury-proneness, and failure to take his team to the playoffs in the weakest division in the NFL. Above average is Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan... Alex Smith does not come close to those other young ABOVE AVERAGE QBs. He is in the bottom 5 in terms of QBs in my opinion.

I think we all know that by now.

Why do you feel the need to keep posting about it?
