Why? He's not trying to play football anymore at this stage of his life. Maybe he just wants to maintain a healthy weight. As you get older that usually means LESS.

I agree, but his cheeks look sunken in. He just doesn't look very healthy.

Im with you mayo. I was thinking the same thing. When you look at the two brothers next to each other, JH just looks pretty unhealthy, but I hope im wrong.

Maybe he's on the Trent Baalke diet plan.
LOL at everybody over-embellishing Harbaugh's disheveled appearance. -You people do know that this guy has been living in (and out) of his office (at 49er HQ) for almost the entire past 4 months since his hiring?

That's the kind of work ethic I like to see, the lockout needs to end so that maybe some of it will rub off on crabtree

"After retiring as a player, he took a job as an offensive assistant with the Raiders in 2002. When they sat him down at a laptop to teach him how to use software to diagram plays, Harbaugh asked, "How do you turn it on?" He had never used a computer. He made $50,000 a year, working 20-hour days, sleeping under his desk. One time he was so exhausted that he fell asleep with his head on his computer keyboard; he woke up to a string of K's on the screen. Another time he woke up at the wheel of his car in his driveway before dawn, unsure if he was leaving for work or had just come home. Six years earlier Harbaugh had come within one play of leading the Colts to the Super Bowl. Now he was a grunt."

That was as an offensive assistant...imagine how hard he's working now.

I do not envy the pressure he is under. Being able to delegate is an issue for any Manger. All the credit and all the blame falls on your shoulders and it must be hard to trust others with key decisions.

That is why when you look back on great NFL coaches they all had great assistants who went on to be NFL head coaches. A lot of our success next year is going to based on the niners assistant coaches being able to coach up our talent.
