i guess this is why we targete a pass rusher in draft instead of prince because they are many good veteran starters at the CB position and not many pass rushers
anyway this is great to hear lets hope the stay gets lifted soon so we can target these FA CBs

i agree with this strategy dont get me wrong i would love to get namdi but we should let all 31 teams bid for namdi and in the meantime lock up joesph he was a standout on a horrible team

why do we always spend money on CBs? I would rather spend money on LEGIT Pass Rushers who have proven themselves in this league.
We have been spending money on CBs for YEARS....way back since Antonio Langhum.
sure it worked for players like Deon and Walt Harris...but man if we are going to break the bank, we need to do that on a pass rusher.
we can only do with coverage sacks for so long.....QBs standing back there picking our defense is very frustrating. A CB can only guard his man for so long.

The Sacramento Bee does not envision the 49ers getting into a high-stakes bidding war for free agent Nnamdi Asomugha.
The Bee's Matt Barrows suggests Asomugha would only be a 49er if he's willing to give them a "hometown discount." Asomugha played college football at Cal and has stayed in the Bay Area ever since. Writes Barrows, "Asomugha is likely to land elsewhere." The smart money is on some team in the NFC East. May. 9 - 1:14 pm et
