actually the draft raised my expectations a little bit.

I expect Kap to start by week 4.. Look who he's competing against. lmao

6-10 and still win the NFC West :( and probably pick in the 20's...

I say, by week 6 for sure

With the players and coaches not being able to work together while incorporating a new offensive and defensive system my hopes are not that high. If the lock out goes late into training camp the offense and defense will be very limited on plays they can use and it will take an entire season to put the whole play book in place.

A long lock out our record will be 4-12, 5-11
Short lock out our record is 5-11 to 6-10

not much here either, ugh. hopefully lockout ends soon, (next week perhaps) have some OTA's, Mini Camps, get this team coached up.

6-10. Alex Smith is looking like he's going to be our starter and we drafted one of the least NFL ready QBs in CK.

With Alex I think we're a playoff team. Without we're looking at a 6 win season as CK develops.

I had higher expectations with Harbaugh at first but then those went downhill when I heard AS was expected to be in contention for starting qb.

11-6 with Alex.
9-7 without Alex

Tough year:

1) CBA shortened offseason + new coaching staff
2) Implementing WCO always starts off slow for teams
3) Schedule is kind of brutal, definitely not in our favor

Our strength of schedule is 30th based on last season, and it's even easier than that because none of our NFC West rivals were remotely as good as their record indicates. Of course we can't predict with total accuracy based on last season, but if it's as easy as it looks we should go 7-9/8-8 just playing at the same level. Problem is, the easiest part of our schedule is at the beginning and I think we're gonna have a shortened season.

With Alex Smith having competent coaching for the first time since Norv left, I think he leads us to a winning season and that will almost definitely be enough to win our garbage division.
