Exactly. They forgot to put a huge asterisk next to all these games.
One thing to note here is that the schedule only has 16 games in it. That means the NFL and the Owners have given up on the 18 game season which was one of the main reasons factors in the lockout. Their will be football this year and the schedule is proof of that.
The 18 game schedule was never on the table for 2011 season. If they agreed on It it would begin in the 2012 season.
Are you sure about that? the 18 game season was to be apart of the new cba. why would you sign a cba based on a 16 games season(this year) and then change it to 18 games next year?
It was my understanding that the 18 game schedule was trying to be included in the current cba negotiations.
The 18 game season would be included in the new cba if agreed upon, but would not be implemented till 2012. Anyways that's what I got from endless hours listening to sirius NFL channel. Also the owners took it off the table at the end of the last round of negotiations.

Complaint department: Where to begin? The 49ers play a Monday night game at home against the Steelers followed by a Saturday game against the Seahawks at Qwest Field. That's a tough turnaround, but there is more. The 49ers play a Sunday game at home against division-rival Arizona on Dec. 11, followed by a Thanksgiving game across the country in Baltimore -- a highly anticipated matchup pitting 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh against his brother, John. That's just brutal. On top of it all, the league again saddled the 49ers with more 10 a.m. PT kickoffs than any West Coast team should have to face. Five of the six potential early starts will indeed kick off in the 10 a.m. PT hour, matching the total for Seattle. That's 27 early kickoffs in 28 chances since 2007. Good luck, Jim.

But we get most of the tougher opponents at home...
I suppose you have to define what is a "tough" opponent. I see the following match-ups as tough games:
Eagles (away)
Bucs (away)
Giants (home)
Ravens (away)
Steelers (home)

We play the Bucs at home.

5-11.
How the f**k can you predict us LOSING to Seattle at home?

And there is no way we're losing to the Bucs at home. We have a golden opportunity to redeem ourselves.

f**k Sam Bradford that phaggot sucked last year and he will suck again. Curly haired b***h those 5 yard passes ain't gonna work this year you scared mothetf**ker
You just mad cuz Bradford is everything your boy aint.
Bradford sucks worse than Alex
The blind Alex Smith love is strong in you. Bradford and Smith were both number 1 overall picks. Bradford gets his sh*tty Rams team one game away from a playoff birth, granted it wouldve been a 7-9 record, thats a heck of a lot better than Alex Smith did in his 6 years in the league. I'm sure 99% of the NFL players, coaches, experts and fans would disagree with you. Bradford has shown more promise in his rookie year than Alex has shown in 6.
you guys just don't wanna admit that alex will do better under harbaugh. he's NEVER had the same OC for consecutive years. you guys are BLIND
LOL U MAD BRO?

LOL busdrivers... SOME optimist you are. The niners will be looking for redemption. no f**king way we're getting blown out again. Especially considering we now have a credible and competent coach.

Every year it's the same sh*t.. Some of us start predicting this is the year! We will make the playoffs! 10-6! Looking at the schedule, it's easy to pencil in wins against teams like Detroit, St. Louis, Tampa Bay.. Sadly, we are amongst the lower bracket of mediocre and weak teams in the NFL. As long as we have Alex Smith at QB, we will never be more than an "almost make the playoffs" type of team. Yes we have a new coach that everyone seems to love already, but I'm tired of expecting us to be a top team in the league until we get a solid QB that can take us to the promise land. That being said, I won't be surprised if we go 5-11 or 6-10.

Also, I guarantee every Lions, Bucs and Rams fan is looking at their schedules and saying "oh, the 49ers. well that's a guaranteed win".

My point exactly. I hate to say it, but we are obviously not as good as we were in the 80's, 90's, and even early 2000's. Ever since Garcia and Mooch left, we have become close to the bottom of the barrel of teams. Teams like the Lions and Bucs were at the bottom, but did not stay there for long. They have had solid QB play and have been improving year by year. We have been up and down and never really had an identity the past 10 years or so. Like you all, I am a diehard 49er fan, but I am not delusional enough to think we are a top 15 or even 20 team in the NFL.

I dont think anybody can make predictions without having a clue about who our quarterback is.
