I absolutely LOVE this pick. And I know you guys aren't used to me being the most positive... But he has size, strength, great speed and a super strong arm. The best velocity at the combine. 6'4 1/2" 233 lbs. and near 4.5 flat. What's not to love about that? A guru like Harbaugh could turn this guy into a star. He has the best QB developer and all the athletic ability in the world. He needs to sit year one and just learn. Just learn snaps from under center, all the plays, get used to the speed of the game and get familiar with all the players around him. As a developmental guy I love the pick. We just need to manage him right this time. Not the way we did Alex.

Does this pick improve your view of our front office?

The Rams might make that list pretty soon too. They got Quinn and two decent receivers.

I live in St. Louis, and the Rams fans sounded disappointed in the Kendricks and Pettis picks on the radio. They only liked the Quinn pick of course.

Excuse me, but his 2010 season percentage is right on your own site. Go to the home page of your own site and click on "Tale of the Tape". Right there, you'll find that Kaepernick's completion percentage for last season was 64.9%.

What I'm giving you is his career comp/pct.

Here's another link.

Who cares about the career percentage when you have a much higher completion percentage in your final year as a starting passer? Much better to trend upwards.

And for me as the quarterback β€” you get your original play from the sidelines, and you have to distribute the individual parts of the play to the receivers, running back, tight end, and offensive line. So, you don't give them the full play; you just give them their parts. You have to be on top of your game mentally, On top of that, all the checks and audibles β€” anything like that is on the quarterback, based on what he's seeing from the defensive? That's something we're trained to do, and once you get to the point where you're comfortable with it, it becomes very easy to do.

edit - nevermind, he is adopted

kinda looks Mexican?

He's mixed. His father was white and his mom is black.

His mom was 19 when he was born and she put him up for adoption because she felt she couldn't take care of him.

The Kaepernick's adopted him when he was 5 weeks old.

I think an NFL team should draft me because number one, they're going to get a player that's going to be prepared for everything that's going to be coming. I don't like to be unprepared for anything. I'm going to be prepared for whatever defense I'm going to see week-to-week, whatever offense we're installing, whatever plays we're getting ready to use that week. As well as being a great leader and having physical attributes that will allow me to perform on the field, you're going to get a person that's there to win. I'm not going to the NFL just to be another quarterback. I want to be successful. I want to win. When they hand that card in, I think the number one thing that an NFL knows they're going to get is a hard-worker and someone that's not going to let them down.

I was wondering that. He has white parents? Or adopting parents? But he does have a little color in him I think...
