"UPDATE: The 49ers were rewarded with two compensatory picks on Friday in the seventh round. It gives them 12 overall picks with four in the seventh round, and two in the sixth round (one from Seattle for Kentwan Balmer) and two in the fourth (one from a draft-day deal last year with San Diego). True those other two 7th round picks plus the two 6th round picks might move us up to the middle of the 5th.

I doubt we could even package those 7th round picks to move up 5 spots in the second.

12 picks is nice but it might be hard to get all 12 of those players on the roster. Like someone mentioned you can't trade comp picks but we should bundle some of the other 10 to get some higher picks if possible. Like Baalke said nobody wanted to trade 6's for a 4 though. We'll see but at worst we have 12 players to bring in to compete. Problem is if there isn't much of an off season it will be tough to judge who to keep and who from our current roster to lose.

Regardless of the curse, we should vote for PWilly's sake. He's way into madden, and winning would probably mean more to him than we know

if that was the case it should have been 10 1rst round picks.

Signing Carr cost the 9ers a 6th round draft pick. "The Giants got two slots in the sixth round after losing quarterback David Carr and defensive tackle Fred Robbins."

Siging Carr was well worth it...When we got Carr that made us the only Team in the NFL to have 2 number 1 pick QB's that were busts on the same roster. Having braggin righths like that was PRICELESS.
