I won't stop there, our stadium music f**king sucks, as well. -The New England Patriots hold numerous polls/fan-reach-out sessions (through their newsletters) about song suggestions during TDs and kick-offs.
Everything about Candlestick is dull, the only thing that sticks out anymore is that draconian security booth in the eastern corner of the stadium (where the neo-fascist security guards hand out awards to fans who rat out other fans).
It's actually in the north western corner.
LOL, I just pulled a Nate Davis!

I just hope they dont change the awesome halftime shows. You know, some fat kid throwing footballs into the back of a hummer. World class entertainment right there!!!

that doesnt annoy me as much as other things that havent updated yet. like those Sports Illustrated junk mail ads that send you that sheet of NFL team helmet stickers, and you put your fav team sticker on the letter and they send you that jacket or whatever. those things go un-updated for years. theyre STILL using the old Cardinals helmet because it looks similar.
obviously this seems like it matters very little, since its junk mail, but ive always been annoyed about it. they print new sets of those sticker sheets by the thousands every day probably. whos in charge of that part of SI, and why is their attention to detail so crappy? its not hard to just put the new 49ers helmet logo on.
...maybe im just lashing out at them because ive now gotten TWO junk mail ads from them saying my name, and "we have your brand new, quality OAKLAND RAIDERS jacket reserved just for you! just subscribe to 2 years of SI!"
an unforgivable offense i must say. i feel completely insulted!

But what I've always wondered is why doesnt the franchise try harder to get the fans going? Niner fans can be lowd, we've all seen it when the team was winning. So why doesnt the stadium offer rally towels or something similar? Why doesn't York step out on the field at half time on opening day and announce that starting this year, everyone will know 49er fans as the loudest fans in the NFL. He then thereafter start an ad campaign (similar to "I want winners") such as: This year's going to be loud.
I'm not saying rally towels or that proposed ad campaign is exactly what we should do. But what I'm sayin is that someone at team headquarters should start a movement when it comes to our crowd noise. It really does help the team in certain situations.
Because the Yorks are cheap. What does it say about them when on "Fan Appreciation Day" they give everyone Victoria Canada luggage tags?? Seriously, could they be any lamer?
Yeah, they're so cheap they give a rookie HC top 10 money.
They're so cheap they gave Nate Clements one of the most lucrative deals in football.
They're so cheap, they gave Patrick Willis 50 million and made Vernon Davis the highest paid TE in league history.
Yorks are cheap, man....
That is the only thing the York's have ever shown a willingness to spend on. There is a team salary minimum and the Yorks are always well under the max. If they didn't give it to Davis or Clements it would have to go to someone.

LOL You do know that the NFL for years has had a salary floor? Right? They have to spend the money somewhere. Its not like in baseball where you can spend nothing and get away with it.

The flags at Wembley were amazing and great fun. Don't know if they would work as a long term thing but they certainly added atmosphere to the game.
