We gotta get a QB in the draft or free agency to lead this team for Harbaugh.

I would change the "are great" to "were great" and I think the title of the thread would be more realistic.

Also FB, what about Fred... Not good enough surely better then norris. Still don't understand why nolan cut him, no point to him having to go all out in practice beating the body up before that because they will be doing plenty in game!

It is interesting how someone brought up Matt Ryan as ATL's franchise QB. Yet, if you look at his stats, he was 11th rated QB his rookie year, 20th rated his second year, and 11th rated his third year (last year). He's seems okay, but not prime/top-ten.

It is funny how certain QBs get treated very softly by the press. I think Ryan is one who gets praise beyond his achievements. Another one is Mark Sanchez. Look at his stats last year - decidedly below average in all catagories, while playing on a good team with good coaching. Yet, he is treated rather generously by most writers.

So true excelsior...bc they are not even franchise qbs. Ryan is good at best and that is WITH a great ol and roddy white to bail him out.

SANCHEZ......i would not want hm at all. How many games did holmes win and edwards bialing him out...oh yeah. Sanchez did make a few throws but any qb in the league could of made those as well. He is very inaccurate and a big reason they lose their games not win them.

Finally, someone who agree's with me. Dude has a great oline, one of the best wrs in the game, a stud rb, and a hof te and yet the production and playoff wins aren't there. SHOW ME SOMETHING MATTY! JUSTIFY THE HYPE

It would be more realistic then i guess i would be lying....bc last time i checked gore is probably the best rb the niners EVER HAD and vd will be the best te the niners EVER had even better than jones. Crabtree may be great as well with an avg qb and ol with time to get open and more throws his way vs checkdowns.

I heard that and I agree. It is no secret that this is a QB-driven league. We gambled and got you-know-who, which set us back for 5 years(hopefully not 6)! Harbaugh MUST select the best available option and bring him to us this year for us to turn things around.

Gardner to Gore is a stretch, isn't it?

Derek Loville? Kevan Barlow? These guys did exist, yes?

Only reason everyone is on him so hard is the kid wins at home, but besides that i'd take his wr his rb and his tightend before him! Saints should have lost that game i mean drew brees throwing int's to linemen for td's!!!

Yes they did exist.....so i guess if we are mentioning Everybody i should mention the million dollar backfield back another few decades.

I was making a point about how good the niners are and have been at drafting and acquiring players at a lot of offensive positions....such as rbs wrs tes qbs up until recently. I did NOT make it a point to mention every single player. While youre at it i guess i could mention rattay on the qbs and popson on the tes right?????

Point being we have been great at most positions on offense since the 80's. We are lagging on qbs and oline as of late
