Freaking hilarious that the Alex Smith lovers site he averaged over a 90 passer rating the last 4 games of 2010. What they forgot to mention was three of the pass defenses he faced (STL, SEA, AZ) averaged 19th, 23rd, and 27th in yards allowed. When he faced the good defense of the group (SD), he put up a 66 rating with a 5.7 YPA. So Alex is a great QB to have to roll up stats on crappy defenses. So the 49ers should re-sign him and platoon him with someone who can play well against good defenses.
They're also NFC West teams. Alex can't beat a good non-divisional team. 6 years and counting.
Is Alex the only player on the team that gets the blame for that? Last time I checked, professional football is a team sport, but I guess that is beyond your limited comprehension. You might want to read up on the game before exposing your ignorance for the Zone to see.
The QB is held to a higher regard. Why were people down on Peyton before he won a SuperBowl? He had an awful D, but guess what....people still said he couldn't win the big game. The QB is the most important person on the field so he will get the blame for the losses and all the praise for the wins. The fact that this escapes you is disappointing.
Yeah and its kind of funny how you troy smith trolley lovers thought he could be an elite QB just because he barely beat teams with a top five pick!
Who said Troy can be elite? Stop reaching.
Troy went 3-3 with no training camp, a limited playbook and 2 career games under his belt. Alex went 3-7 with 2 training camps to learn the same playbook, At least 2 years experience with his teammates and a complete playbook.
Try to argue with as many cherry picked stats as you can...whether you like/dislike Troy/Alex the numbers don't lie.
