First we have to achieve a winning record.

After we have a winning record, I spend time thinking about the play-offs and the Super Bowl.

Um, just to point out, do that and right now our qb is Carr. 10 times better? No.

On the thread subject, Green Bay have impressed this year with their depth. In this salary cap era I would not have thought it possible to do what they have done. But I put a lot of it down to coaching and player development rather than the simple accumulation of great players.
The toughest job Harbaugh has is coaching up a roster full of players who have not yet come close to their potential. David Baas is a good example of a guy who should be much better than he is, and should have won a starting position by his second season, but is still just a journeyman. The list of other players in a similar situation is long.

I think it says quite a bit about our depth and coaching when seattle turns what we thought was junk into serviceable guys. We could have more depth than we think but just need a good accurate qb to show them off.

Crabtree, davis, morgan, zeigler, ginn...Could all be better than we think.

Look at nelson from GB, what 3rd maybe 4th best wr on their team? Pretty sure he'd be crap with smith throwing to him.

Yes, Nelson was the #4 receiver at the mid-point of the season, however, he is better than anyone on the 49ers. His reading and route running in the SB was outstanding. He created yards of space on almost every play.

Of course a lot of that was based on an outstanding game plan developed by McCarthy and his staff. They spread out the Pittsburgh defense with the depth of their WRs and made Dick LeBeau's defense look bad.
