Yep from 1981 to 2004 we ruled the roost! Hope it returns again, and please don't let the Steelers get to 7 before us! We passed them once, I hope we can do it again?

Oh, yeah. I remember the days when football actually meant cheering for my team in the playoffs, and not hoping to watch other teams lose in the hopes of protecting niner legacy. Good times...

When I watch the games I am thinking why couldn't all our losing playoff teams have played teams like these back then? We would have 10 super bowls. Seriously, if those Steve Young or Montana led teams that lost to say the Packers, Giants, Cowboys, Redskins etc played these teams today I don't think it would be close.

The talent level of today's league is a lot more spread out than it was back in the day. Back then, it felt like there were about 3-5 REALLY good teams, and then the rest.... Today, it feels like there isn't a REALLY good team, but rather, 5-10 pretty good teams.
