Harbaugh's hidden benefit

Good post. This was an a benefit that I thought of, but kept forgetting to bring up.

His knowledge of the Pac-10 players will be very beneficial for the draft.
I'm just excited to see what QB we draft. I'm sure you've all seen that Maiocco tweet that mentioned he wrote very accurate assessments of Romo, Garrard, and Harrington.

How does it feel knowing that somewhere in this draft... is some kid that is going to be drafted in the 3rd of 4th round, not knowing that he's going to be groomed by Harbaugh, launching a thousand comparisons to Walsh/Montana?

Poor kid. Hope he's ready to step into the limelight.

Thanks.

I hope Baalke listens to him when it comes to the draft, by the sound of it they will work closely together so I am very hopeful for this draft!

I loved the Singletary hiring (at first), but even then I always got the impression he was a motivator rather than someone who could effectively judge talent, so I was worried about his influence when it came to the draft. Whereas Harbaugh has had to judge talent throughout his career (bringing in players for Stanford)

Agree with this post 100%. Seachickens had a pretty good draft in Carroll's first year out of college.

It's all about the WB position though. If Harbaugh can draft or sign a QB and develop him, we've got the players everywhere else to compete.

Any quality draft picks on top of that, will be icing on the NFC West Championship cake.

now what makes you think Harbaugh would waste his time doing GEEK?

i think between Harbaugh and Baalke we're going to have some really good drafts in the next few years. They both have a lot of experience evaluating players.
