Charlie Casserly. Good enough to get you a good roster, but just bad enough so that no other team would want him. If he work with Baalke, it would be a good combo. Maybe Baalke can fill in where Charlie turns bad. CharBaalke....hmmm

I really like Tony Dungy. He has built up both the Buccs and the Colts into SB teams. I don't know if he is willing, but if he was that would be a great move.

Don't know that he is the nuts and bolts kind of guy who would help. Out of football so might not have the connections anymore. Good opportunistic mind though!

Didnt do to well in Cleveland.. Also thought Derek Loville was a "205lb. powerhouse" (dud) back in the day.. I say get one of the veteran gm guys (i.e. Caserley, Reece, et al) no time for another newbie non-football guy..

Who was our previous Senior Football Advisor? Baalke? or did we even have one?

It depends on who you ask. Singletary will tell you God was the Senior Football Advisor. Jed will tell you his Uncle Eddie.

I guess Lombardi's out of the picture... From MM's most recent Q&A:
Quote:LINK
Question: Would Michael Lombardi be a candidate for the senior football advisor? @tverdun
My response: No. New general manager Trent Baalke will make that call, and a source told me he is not considering Lombardi. Baalke is said to be eyeing an experienced executive. I do not know whom the 49ers have targeted. But somebody along the lines of Floyd Reese, who works as an advisor with the New England Patriots, would be a solid addition.

I'm starting to think more and more that Seifert would be a great choice. Not sure if he has the required FO experience, but he has connections to the new Niners staff and would obviously be a great link to the past.
